Nassau Man Accused Of Punching Roommates, Threatening Duo With Screwdriver

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his two roommates including threatening them with a screwdriver and putting a knife to one of the victim's neck.

Casey Bohanon, age 39, of Westbury, was arrested at 4:34 a.m., Wednesday by Nassau County Police in Westbury.

According to detectives, Bohanon was inside his residence with his two male roommates, ages 59 and 68 years old. 

The two victims were sitting on a couch when Bohanon came out of his room and punched both of the victims in the face before grabbing two nearby screwdrivers and threatening them with the weapon, police said.

Bohanon then grabbed a knife and held it to the neck of one of the victims while shouting at them both before putting the knife down and walking away, police said.

Police were called and found Bohanon inside the residence and placed him under arrest without further incident.

Bohanon was charged with:

  • Assault second-degree
  • Criminal possession of a weapon
  • Two counts of menacing
  • Two counts of assault third-degree. 

He will be arraigned on Thursday, Feb. 18, in Mineola.
